    Our Love Story

Max & I actually met each other in high school. I was fifteen and he was seventeen. Although we went to the same school for years, we had never actually met each other before. But, my friend was going to this guys house she was talking to for the first time and Max happened to be there. We all went on a walk in the snow (it was January at the time) and I didn’t bring a jacket with me. I was freezing and trying to hide it. But, Mr. Observant Max, offered me his very warm Carhart jacket to wear. Because there was so much snow on the ground,…

    Arthur Blake Glasses

When I was little I had reading glasses but I never needed glasses for distance. As I got older, I started to notice that my eye sight was changing dramatically. I’ll never forget driving to Maine with Max and Alex, my soon to be brother in law, and the road in front of us looked so blurry. So, I tried covering up one eye and strangely I could see out of my left eye just fine but not my right eye. Which is when Max starting calling me “Sara Left Eye Bly.”  (Jerk haha). When we got back from Maine I made an appointment with the eye doctor right way.…

    Current Skirt I’m Obsessed With

so excited to finally post this! It has been one hell of a crazy month, with school, work, and bridal shower planning. But, here is one of my current favorite skirts for under $11. Yep, you heard that right this skirt is from Forever 21 and its only $10.90. Here I have paired the skirt first with a cozy chenille wide knit sweater from Aerie. For a more fun sporty look, I wore my white Reebok sneakers. If you don’t have a pair of Reebok sneakers you need them! Honestly, I was never a fan of sneakers in general. But, this pair is so comfortable that I even bought a…

    Orange Chenille Forever 21 Cardigan

I am in love with the fall season. The leaves are starting to change and the air is getting crisp, which means I get to pull out my cozy over-sized fall sweaters. Which I have been waiting all summer to wear! Plus it gives me an excuse to buy some new clothes. Which is just what I did on Labor day for the sales and bee lined for Forever 21 so I could get this adorable fall cardigan. I am a serious fan of chenille sweaters, mainly because they are so very soft. But, also because they typically wear really nicely and flatter my figure. I have a few from…

    Wildflowers

In 2012, I took a CFA floral design course. At the time I was reading a lot of romance novels… Enough said right? Honestly, it was one of the best decisions I made. While I didn’t end up working in a flower shop it gave me a greater appreciation for flowers, as a living and breathing thing. And learning that flowers actually have a psychological effect on people, making them happier and healthier. I also met some really amazing people in the class, some of whom I still stay connected with to this day. So, sure I didn’t end up using it as a stepping stone towards a career. But,…

Recap of the Past Four Months

Guys I have been super M.I.A. lately. This semester has been a rough one, filled with many ups and downs. I managed to somehow (sort of) survive taking five classes, doing a semester-long internship, and work (about) every other weekend at my regular job. My internship with WNPR was amazing! Everyone I worked with was so nice, and I learned so much along the way about producing live radio. I actually (with the help of everyone there) was able to produce my own show by the end of the internship, check it out here! Well, I really wish it didn’t have to end, but as the saying goes… all good…

    Wandering Around Worcester

Max and I enjoyed our stay in Worcester. Honestly, most of our time was spent at the Expo and if we weren’t there we were in our room relaxing for the first time in so long. We spent a lot of time in bed watching TV in the peace and quiet. We brought a lot of snacks with us and even some Sunbutter sandwiches just in case. But, we were also able to take some cool pictures at the DCU Center and on the streets of Worcester. And there was some amazing street art we found along the way.   The street art behind me actually said, “I love you.…

    Gluten Free Allergen Friendly Expo

The Gluten Free Allergen Friendly Expo was a blast! Seeing as this was my first Expo I wasn’t really sure what to expect. But, from the second I walked into the door (early for once) I felt safety¬†was the first priority. BFree a brand I had never tried before put out a wonderful breakfast. Equipped with everything bagels that are free of the top 8 allergens including sesame seeds! You have no idea how excited I was to be eating a bagel for the first time in a year! And let me tell you it was worth the carbs because it was delicious! Not only did they toast the bagel,…

Hiking Sleeping Giant with Food Allergies

I have been hiking maybe a few times in my life, even before the allergy diagnoses. I have never really enjoyed the woods, and I didn’t think I ever would. But, I must say Max and I had an amazing day hiking through Sleeping Giant in Hamden. For those of you from Connecticut, Sleeping Giant is iconic and I am sure everyone has been there at one point or another (maybe a field trip). Not to mention its across the street from Quinnipiac University the school I will be graduating from in three semesters. Go Bobcats! Anyways, when hiking with allergies you have to be sure to be prepared.¬†Lucky for…

    The Product Break Down

Having multiple food allergies and sensitive skin can make finding products even more difficult for me. So, I have tried many products and just wanted to share some that didn’t work for me. I share a lot about the products I do like and wanted to be sure to mention I have tried a lot of products that didn’t work for me. All the products are listed with a little pros and cons section attached. All of the products here I have purchased myself, so I hope this helps you find a product that will work for your skin! I am a true believer that just because you have sensitive…
